We had a fantastic time at The Waterfront House Country Home. The views of the lake were absolutely stunning and created the perfect backdrop for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Mary, our host, was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and provided us with helpful recommendations for nearby attractions. The breakfast she served was delicious and had a great variety of options. The rooms were comfortable and tidy, and we enjoyed spending time in the dining room and on the terrace. The location was ideal for exploring Connemara, with easy access to the N59. The only minor issue we encountered was some noise from other guests, but it didn't significantly affect our overall experience. we highly recommend this lovely guesthouse for a memorable stay in a beautiful setting.

The narrow road leading up to the property could be a bit challenging to navigate if there is oncoming traffic.

We had a wonderful stay during the New Year holidays. The view from our room was amazing, we could see a beautiful lake and it was very peaceful and quiet. The hostess was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for nearby restaurants and outdoor activities. We also enjoyed the hot scones they served for breakfast.

The room's bathroom was a bit cramped, and the room itself was in need of some refurbishment. One night, the heating didn't work in our room, and we couldn't find a way to turn it on, so it was a bit chilly.

The double bed was adequate but on the smaller side. It would have been better if a queen-sized bed was available.
